Kluane National Park sits in the southwest corner of the Yukon Territory. Its claim to fame is it has the world’s largest non-polar ice fields and is part of the world’s largest internationally protected wilderness. Kluane National Park Reserve was established in 1972, covering 22,013 square kilometres (8,499 square miles). The Reserve includes the highest mountain in Canada, Mount Logan (5,959 metres or 19,551 feet) of the Saint Elias Mountains.

Kathleen Lake You don’t have to venture into the backcountry for awe-inspiring mountain scenery at Kluane. Just a short drive from town is sparkling Mät’àtäna Män (Kathleen Lake), where crystal waters are backed by the mountains of the Kluane Range. Exceptional hiking, boating and camping await visitors the moment they step from their car.
